Frequently Asked Question (FAQ)
Therapy Options for Your Needs
What is therapy, and how do I know if I need it?
Therapy is a space to work through whatever is weighing on you. Whether that’s anxiety, grief, trauma, chronic pain, or just feeling stuck. You don’t need a crisis to start therapy; many people come in simply wanting to feel more like themselves.
How soon can I get in?
After all your forms are completed, Our goal is to schedule you within 1-2 weeks.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session (intake) is mostly me getting to know you. Your history, what brought you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to get out of it. There’s no pressure to share everything right away.
How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?
Sessions typically run about 53 minutes. Frequency depends on your needs. Many clients start weekly and adjust from there.
What is EMDR, and how does it work?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a evidence-based therapy approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they carry less emotional weight over time.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I am in-network with: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, Healthchoice, Healthcare Highways. First Health. Please feel free to check back as this changes.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (like risk of harm to yourself or others), which are explained in more detail during your first session.
What if I've never done therapy before?
That’s completely normal. Many clients are new to therapy. There’s no “right way” to do it, and sessions move at your pace.
Are you a licensed therapist?
Yes, with over 15 years of experience, approved telehealth provider in the state of Florida and current status as an Oklahoma LPC Supervisor and Licensed Professional Counselor.

How do I know if we are a good fit?
Finding the right therapist matters, and you shouldn’t have to guess. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation. A low-pressure way for us to talk before committing to anything. During the call, you can share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for my approach. I’ll also share how I work and what you can expect from sessions together. There’s no obligation to move forward. It’s simply a chance for both of us to see if we’re a good match.
